Se è vero che cambiamento e partecipazione sono più che correlati, DecoroUrbano si propone come un everyware (piattaforma web e app per mobile) che, sulla scia di fixmystreet, vuole ridurre la distanza tra la cittadinanza tecnoattiva e la pubblica amministrazione.

L'idea è partire da una tema evidente, utile e semplice: la cura della città.

Rifiuti abbandonati, vandalismo/incuria, buche, zone verdi trascurate, segnaletica carente o affissioni abusive: se hai uno smartphone (iOs o Android) puoi scattare una foto e segnalare rapidamente dove e perché l'amministrazione comunale deve intervenire. DecoroUrbano si propone quindi come un'unica banca dati che mostra segnalazioni da tutta l'Italia. Decisamente molto ma molto meglio dell'approccio singola app per ciascun comune, come in maniera miope ha fatto… indovinate chi?

Strumenti come DecoroUrbano sono un'opportunità per chi gestisce un'Amministrazione in maniera intelligente: istant touchpoints che creano e mantengono un dialogo con una rete di cittadini che partecipa alla polis. La partecipazione delle persone è una risorsa decisiva per invertire la rotta verso trasparenza ed efficienza. Troppo spesso il cittadini/cliente è relegato negli stanzini del vecchio "ufficio lamentele" o del moderno (?) URP (certo che un nome più brutto non si poteva trovare, eh?).

Mi chiedo: quando i progetti di eGov chiederenno la consulenza di user experience designer per studiare caratteristiche/scenari dei cittadini, identificare i touchpoints e sviluppare servizi/esperienze di cittadinanza? La strada dall'eGov a WeGov è ancora lunga, ma WE DU è una delle tappe felici di questo percorso.

It seem that wireframing is going out of fashion, isn't it?
That's a white lie.

I still wireframe, especially on paper during meetings. So the tool depends on your goals. Try to answer:

• Who are you wireframing for?
• Do you need to keep this documentation updated?
• Do you need to collaborate with a tem of IA/UX?
• Do you need to share it and collect feedback remotely?

So, now that you've a more accurate idea about your need, you can pick the right tool.

Balsamiq Mockups
I’ve been using or following Balsamiq for the past couple of years. I remember being glued to balsamiq web app (Adobe air) because it was the first of the applications I tried. What makes Balsamiq so valuable? Tons of free add-ons that can be downloaded at http://mockupstogo.net/. Furthermore the Midnight Coders have provided a conversion service that creates a full blown Flex application from your Balsamiq mockup. Cool stuff!

Mockingbird
Mockingbird is a cheap (9$ to 85$ monthly) web-based app to create, link together, preview and share wireframes of your project.
I really like the drag and drop user-friendly UI, the smart text resizing and the possibility to easily share wireframes with clients/ colleagues or stakeholders.

HotGloo
HotGloo is a very accurate web based wireframing tool. The prototypes it creates are fully interactive, and can be shared between clients and collaborators. It's a brand new app ready to be the leader one.

Lovelycharts
Lovely Charts is a web diagramming application. You can create flowcharts, sitemaps, organization charts, wireframes, process&procedures models. There's a good stencils library and a 20 versions history record. This tool is very simple but it's very rigid too.

Cacoo
Cacoo is a solid diagramming tool, with some unique features like the real time collaboration & chat.
I like it, especially for the wide stencil library, that contains every general type of UI component you would want to use. The weak point is the low developed community.

Lumzy
Lumzy is another diagramming web app. What's cool? It's 100% free.
I appreciate the "make it public" feature and the extended stencils library. On the otherside Lumzy hasn't a good grid tool & a too flat masterpage management (single father & son).

Mockflow
I found MockFlow from a Google search for “wireframing toold” and having seen their landing page I had a negative connotation of that app. The truth is that mockflow is improving, month by month. Now is a complete tool with excellent design & team features, plus a store where you can buy new components. There's no monthly fee, just yearly.

Pidoco
Pidoco is a german product. The general impression is that you've poor stencils & tools. It's growing, and in the compaly plans you'll also manage screenflows & usability tes in pidoco. Just wait.

Pencil
"The Pencil Project's unique mission is to build a free and opensource tool for making diagrams and GUI prototyping that everyone can use". I reused these words because Pencil is a project before tha an app. The GPL2 licence puts it in the free software family. Basically is a client tool (firefox plugin) to draw diagrams. It's good for simple stuff, but it has a lot of limitations when you want more.

Axure RP
Axure is a client app that is specifically designed for creating web site wireframes & prototypes. As a result, all of the tool bar elements are strictly catered towards the web design world, but you can easily add new shapes & libraries (stencils). I used it for a year and half with a lot of success & fun.

Adobe inDesign
I have been using inDesign for the last three years. It's a mature client application for desktop publishing, full of features, very flexible. It has a steep learning curve. In combination with Adobe illustrator you can create any design&wireframe&mockup you want, drawing reusable components and an extended masterpage management. The side effect is that you can't directly share your project & that iit's not web based, so you always need to install the software.

I've not considered Gliffy, Simplediagrams, Denim and… the back of the napkin, even if paper is a useful tool too.

Ma andiamo con calma. L'incipit è semplice. Non mi sento bene. Niente di grave, ma mi devo curare.
Il mio medico curante (participio che è uno spunto per un altro post) mi visita e mi prescrive un'altra visita, stavolta specialistica. Non è che usa il pc e mi dice quando potrò fare la visita. No, mi lascia la prescrizione (termine da galera sfuggita), cioè un foglio di carta in mano e io poi dovrò prenotare la visita. Come?

Perché in Italia siamo negli anni '80. Il Paese è nel freezer. Il premier è un uomo che fonda il suo potere nel mercato mediale televisivo, le su reti ammiccano ad una sessualità da pruderie (non come fuori orario che ci ha regalato Wakamatsu questo mese) e per fruire di qualunque servizio a distanza devi telefonare. Il telefono, questa modernità.

Quindi sto per telefonare e poi mi chiedo: ma è possibile? Possibile che io non possa prenotare on line? Magari vedendo in maniera trasparente quant'è il tempo di attesa per ciascuna struttura a Roma e potendo decidere con calma? Faccio una ricerca al volo su google e trovo Regione Lazio, pionieri del CUP integrato. Sono preso da un senso di colpa: lo vedi che sei malfidato? Lo vedi che nonostante il tridente Storace-Marrazzo-Polverini in Regione c'è gente che lavora e fare innovazione è possibile? Quindi comincio a seguire link su link e arrivo su:

IVR che mi spiega dettagliatamente la legge sulla privacy (con tanto di articolo e commi, perché?) e poi risponde una voce affannata. Chiedo se posso ottenere il numero assistito. L'operatore si arrabbia. Loro fanno solo prenotazioni, ha capito? Chiedo se può indicarmi un modo per recuperare questo dato e mi dice che loro fanno solo prenotazioni, ha capito? Chiedo se c'è un altro numero da chiamare e mi risponde che loro fanno solo prenotazioni, ha capito? Ho capito. Probabilmente sto parlando con un IVR umano.

Cerco sull'avvenieristico poslazio un numero di telefono e trovo 06.5168.4498. Chiamo. Mi risponde sempre l'IVR che mi rispiega la legge sulla privacy (e 2) e poi l'operatore. Gli spiego che ho bisogno del codice assistito per registrarmi al sito e sento che la sua voce s'incupisce. Lui ce l'ha, ma non può darmelo. O meglio, prima lo davano, ma poi sono successi casini (?), tipo gente che ha cambiato il medico per scherzo ad altri (??), registrazioni con sostituzione di persona (???) e quindi ora non lo danno più questo numero che da codice assistito è diventato praticamente una password. Cioè, tutta la sicurezza della registrazione on line del portale si basa sul possedere il vecchio pezzo di carta dov'è il codice assistito?

Sono basito. Lui nicchia. Dice che è nuovo e non sa bene come vanno le cose, ma che un ufficio della regione che non sa come si chiama ha emanato una direttiva che questo dato non si può fornire al telefono per la privacy. Ci risiamo. E 3. Ecco il colpevole. La privacy. La privacy è diventata la scusa sovrana per non darti più un'informazione tua.

Io provo a usare i servizi on line, risparmiando tempo e risorse, ma non mi posso registrare.
Cerco l'informazione per registrarmi. Non c'è. La chiedo. Non la posso avere. Perché? Per la privacy, perché semmai questo mio codice andasse in mano ad un'altra persona questo potrebbe registrarsi come me. Ma scherziamo, vero?

No. Non dovremmo scherzare.

• una nuova timeline con un pannello a scomparsa per visualizzare dettagli (info aggiuntive) per ciascun tweet;
• non c'è più il tasto more per visualizzare tweet meno recenti: basta scrollare la pagina fino in fondo per attivare il caricamento dei vecchi tweet;

• grazie a delle API e ad alcune partnership sarà possibile vedere video (youtube, vimeo ecc) e immagini (flickr, deviantart ecc) direttamente nei tweet;
• nuovi contenuti correlati del tweet: info dell'autore e dei soggetti citati, georef, risposte e retweet di altri utenti;

• cliccando su un username si visualizzerà un piccolo badge con bio, tweet recenti e altre informazioni sull'utente.
